Hey guys! Welcome to SCPA’s Junior Class of 2011 tumblr :) We made this blog to remind you juniors about things that will be going on this school year that you need to know.
So November 16-20 is SPIRIT WEEK! This is the the week we’ve been waiting for since we were middle schoolers! Hard to believe that it’s finally here. Just to update, jersey distribution was yesterday and if for some reason you didn’t get yours, please come to ASB Room 302 during 5th period and we’d be glad to give it to you. We also had activity sign ups! If you forgot what you signed up for, don’t worry, we’ll be sending out reminders!!
HC WEEK ACTIVITIES:
Monday-Pajama Day: Musical Chairs, Blind Folded Drawing, Math Off, SCPA Trivia
Tuesday-Western Day: Relay Race, Music Battle, Soap Sculpting, Guess the Teacher
Wednesday-Celebrity Look Alike: Sing Off, Pie Eating, Spelling Contest, Celebrity Impersonations
Thursday-Decade Day: Solo Dance off, Push Up Contest, Water Balloon Toss, 3 Legged Race
Friday-SPIRIT! Dance off and Football Game
*** Don’t forget, you must be wearing a junior or senior jersey to participate in these activies!
DANCE OFF REHEARSALS:
MONDAY: Salsa, Modern, Hip Hop, and Tahitian
TUESDAY: ALL DANCES
WEDNESDAY: ALL DANCES
THURSDAY: ALL DANCES, Run through @ the Circle of sun.
Seniors have the circle of the sun to rehearse from 2-3. NO JUNIORS ARE ALLOWED TO BE WALKING AROUND CAMPUS. YOU MUST BE IN MISS FOSTER KINGS ROOM until our rehearsal which will be from 3-4. Same goes for the seniors.
FOOTBALL PRACTICES:
Practices are front of the Circle of the Sun for Juniors for the dates that your coach gives you! You must be present during all practices. And once again, you CANNOT be in both the dance off or the football game unless you have talked to Carmen about it.
HOMECOMING DANCE:
The theme for this years dance is Come and Swing at the 50’s Fling “You’re the one that I Want” which will be held at the San Diego Women’s Club: 2557 3rd Ave San Diego 92103. The dance is from 7:30-11:30. DOORS CLOSE AT 8:30. So get there before then! Tickets are $30 with an ASB card, $35 without. No D’s, N’s, F’s or U’s! You can get an appeal though :) Permission slips are in the front office! If you are bringing a guest from outside of school, they ALSO need a permission slip (it’ll be on the back of yours).
LAST DAY TO BUY TICKETS WILL BE THE DAY OF THE DANCE (NOV20) DURING LUNCH!
